How do you prevent a short-term mindset from derailing the long-term strategy?
Despite an ever-increasing R&D spend, this global FinTech provider experienced challenges in development velocity and quality due to tech debt, aging architecture and immature SDLC processes. With an enormous market opportunity in sight, the business questioned whether it could scale its platform, people and processes to maintain and expand its market share.
To shift the team’s mindset away from prioritizing short-term gains, Crosslake led the co-creation of a long-term tech strategy, supported by a new cloud platform architecture and a transformation plan defined by guiding principles, processes and governance to keep R&D and product efforts on track. At the same time, Crosslake championed business systems planning to improve efficiencies and support the company’s forecasted growth.
United by a common goal to capture a greater share of a growing $5T market, and with a new strategic vision and technology roadmap to guide their efforts, product and R&D teams were able to migrate customers to a new cloud platform within nine months – while continuing to grow revenue by 33 percent.
